Our Cheese Cake won 3rd place in the outdoor category at the Platinum CBD Cup 2025. An unexpected award that recognises our choice of natural growing.
We were immensely proud to hear the news: our Cheese Cake made it onto the podium of the Platinum CBD Cup 2025, in our very first year of production. It is recognition that validates our craft approach and our rejection of industrial practices.
A win that counts twice
- We entered a representative sample from our 200 plants, not a plant prepared especially for the competition.
- Our living soil growing, without synthetic fertilisers, held its own against more intensive methods.
- The jury particularly appreciated the flower's authenticity and aromatic complexity.
Cheese Cake: an aromatic profile that makes the difference
Our Cheese Cake owes its name to its three-stage aromatic profile:
- Top notes: a surprising English cheddar and a hint of dry biscuit.
- Heart: a burst of fresh lemon.
- Finish: the vanilla softness of custard cream.
Eight major terpenes
| Terpene | What it brings to the aroma |
|---|---|
| Myrcene | The forest after rain: damp earth, crushed leaves, cut grass. |
| Bisabolol | A delicate note of chamomile, rare in hemp, which softens the profile. |
| Pinene | The freshness of a pine forest: resin and pine needles. |
| Caryophyllene | A peppery warmth, spicy and slightly woody, like black pepper. |
| Humulene | The depth of hops, with almost malty, herbal touches. |
| Limonene | Lemon zest and citrus peel. |
| Guaiol | A woody roundness with hints of cedar. |
| Nerolidol | Floral complexity: jasmine, old rose, undergrowth. |

Growing in line with our values
This award belongs above all to our land. We grow in living soil, with no compromise on quality or respect for the environment:
- permanent green manures (clover, bird's-foot trefoil, serradella);
- brewer's spent grain as surface compost;
- compost tea to boost microbial life;
- no plastic sheeting, no pesticides;
- slow, low-temperature drying to preserve the terpenes.
Thank you to the organisers
A huge thank you to Yan and Tomas for organising Cann'Agri and the Platinum CBD Cup, which showcase the work of French growers. We were there for the 2026 edition too: find the results in our dedicated article.
